.Khao Hin Lek Fai, also known as Khao Radar, is located only three kilometres west of Hua Hin Town, Prachuap Khiri Khan. Geographically, it is a mid-sized mountain with the height of 162 metres above sea level.
To get to Khao Hin Lek Fai, drive along Phetkasem Road and turn onto Hua Hin Soi 70, or Chomsin Road. Drive along the road, cross the railway, and continue going straight. Drive past Wat Suk Samran and Wat Khao Tonket and you will see an uphill road that leads you to Khao Hin Lek Fai. Drive along that road as far as an intersection. Turn left and you will see Khao Hin Lek Fai’s entrance.
On the hilltop, a statue of King Prajadhipok (King Rama VII) stands facing Hua Hin Town, which is lying below the peak. It is said that when he paid a visit here in Hua Hin, he liked it very much. He then started many developments in the town. People of Hua Hin were so grateful; they, therefore, decided to erect his statue.
In addition, the mountain has several good viewpoints where you can overlook the town of Hua Hin and see a sunrise. The right time for paying a visit here is at dawn or in the evening. Six viewpoints where visitors can get a 360-degree view of Hua Hin Town, Hua Hin Bay and the curved beach of Khao Takiap can be found on the peak. As a flat land with rock cliffs, the hilltop is full of shady trees including rare plants. Moreover, there are a bird park, local handicraft shops, restaurants, and an area where rare plant species mentioned in literature are grown.
